In order to prepare for contract negotiations you may wish to know if there are any hardware or software contracts that are coming up for renewal or about to expire. The following tools in the IT Asset Management Pack can be used to determine if a contract is coming up for renewal or about to expire.
reports: The Hardware Asset Management Dashboard shows hardware related contracts that are expired and about to expire. The Contract Summary report shows all the contracts coming up for renewal.
views: All views in the following folders show the expiration date: Disposal Agreement, Lease Agreement, Hardware Maintenance and Support Agreement, Software License Agreement and Software Maintenance & Support Agreement. You can sort these views by their expiration date to find agreements that are about to expire.
contract: All contract forms have an Expiration Date field that indicates the status of the contract.
subscriptions: You may also subscribe to a notification that will e-mail you when a contract is about to expire, see Creating notifications.
hardware asset: contracts associated with a hardware asset appear on the hardware asset form with a visual indicator and a message describing the expiration status of the contract. For more details, see Associating contracts with hardware assets.
